My partner has just sat there eating something. He's the other end of the room and the tv is on fairly loud but I could still hear him eating. It's disgusting and there is surely no need for it. He seems to be getting worse. I'm sure he's doing it on purpose because, although he used to sometimes make a noise while eating, it was never that loud and it was never all the time. Now he does do it all the time. He used to only do it when he was the only one eating but now he also does it while we are all trying to eat. It prevents me from enjoying meals as well as generally being disgusting and off-putting, even when I'm not eating. I just don;t understand why he needs to do it or why he's got worse. He even makes the disgusting noises when he's not eating. He'll just sit that doing that "slapping lips" noise. Like what old men do. Now I don't know where to put this question.

Actually, we've been together 3 years and this is something I would have noticed immediately because I know a few other people who do it and it is one of my biggest pet-hates. (Yes, there are other issues, but they have been going on a lot longer than this noise) and I have told him about it and I'm pretty sure he's doing it more on purpose because he knows I don't like it.

Snooky Me, there isn't a young fit guy down the road. At least, not that I know of!

I have told him politely that he's doing it. He still does it so it's not nagging.

Because they are pigs.
If you close your mouth before chewing, and you chew as if it isn't your first meal in a week, it's actually quite difficult to make a noise when you eat!
Your question is off the ilk "Why do some people smell?" It's because they don't care enough about what you think to bother washing.
Explain to your partner that his etiquette laziness bothers you, and that there are 6 billion people in the world. Somewhere out there he has a doppelganger with all his "good" qualities but without the etiquette deficiency!

Next time you two are eating together, in private and you notice it. AND you are not in a bad mood (he will pick up on that).
Try to point it out in a non accusing tone:
"Say honey, I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I have noticed you are a little noisey when you eat. It would help me if you could just be aware of that in the future."
Also you should note he might be doing it because of some health issue, he might have a tooth that is bothering him and he is subconsciously rubbing it, or has to breath through his mouth because of a sinus problem. You might want to look into that too.
Just try to come at it from a point of love. When you notice it just be factual, "Say honey, your smacking again..." Don't nag. Once he is aware of it he will either change or not. You can't force an adult to do something.

I wish I had an answer. My stepson smacks when he eats and so does his kids. My wife and I use to try and teach the kids better when they were little and it was useless. They were not being taught at home. They are now teen agers and it is horrible when they are all together at the table eating. I refuse to eat with them. I wait until they are all finished. I have spoke to my wife about it and she refuses to say anything to them. So I just avoid the situation and stay away during meals when they are over.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant here https://tr.im/lEh7J
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

Because they desperately want to be shot in the head with a dum dum bullet. They keep making noises and opening their mouths just hoping someone will slip a barrel into their mouths and redecorate the wall behind them with the contents of their mouth and their brains, generally, the food is more intelligent...still,it's only a mouthful.

Talk to him about it? Or would that just make things worse? Maybe you never noticed it before because you were in the first stages of a relationship the 'in love' stage but now things are settling down, and you're noticing his more unsavoury habits. Some things you just have to accept, or if you can't, end the relationship.

I have a brother that does that and it's so off putting when you're trying to eat and all you can hear are his throat noises.
Perhaps a firm no nonsense word in his shell like would make him more aware of what he's doing and how unpleasant it is for others.

I don't like people that eat with their mouth open, and people that make noise when they eat.At a young age I was taught good manners ,thus I got disciplined if I ever ate like an animal.

Some people do this to occupy the minds of others around them, they are dominance-minded. Same as offending without cause, pretending to be annoyed. I think the only people not annoyed by it are people who are like-minded in this cowardly way.
Or it could be a perverted part of masculinity.
