perhaps it is a cross breeding between the first humans God created and the jungle apes that naturally evolved???

The Bible says nothing about the first man, Adam, living in a house. However, Genesis 4:17 says that Cain “engaged in building a city and called the city’s name by the name of his son Enoch.” This city was likely nothing more than a fortified village by present standards. The type of housing used is not stated in the account. Perhaps the entire village was made up of Cain’s immediate family members.
Where did Cain get his wife?
One might think that after the murder of Abel, only his guilty brother Cain and their parents, Adam and Eve, were left on the earth. However, Adam and Eve had a large family. According to Genesis 5:3, 4, Adam had a son named Seth. The account adds: “The days of Adam after his fathering Seth came to be eight hundred years. Meanwhile he became father to sons and daughters.” So Cain married his sister or perhaps one of his nieces. Since mankind was then so close to human perfection, such a marriage evidently did not pose the health risks that may imperil the offspring of such a union today.
Cain went into banishment in “the land of Fugitiveness to the east of Eden,” taking with him his wife, an anonymous daughter of Adam and Eve. (Ge 4:16, 17; compare 5:4, also the much later example of Abraham’s marriage to his half sister Sarah, Ge 20:12.) Following the birth of his son Enoch, Cain “engaged in building a city,” naming it for his son. Such city may have been but a fortified village by present standards, and the record does not state when it was completed. His descendants are listed in part and include men who distinguished themselves in nomadic stock raising, the playing of musical instruments, and the forging of metal tools as well as those who were known for their practice of polygamy and their violence. (Ge 4:17-24) Cain’s line ended with the global Flood of Noah’s day.

First off, I do believe the Bible is Truth, and it's also Historical documentation. One needs to realize that there are alot of details that are left out. One of these is that (i Believe) God created others besides Adam and Eve.
In Gen. 4:15, GOD puts a curse on anyone who harms Cain.
Logically, if only Adam, Eve, and Cain exist on earth, then there would be no reason to put that curse on anyone. Therefore, there are others that have been created, but not recorded.

That isn't the only place in Genesis where there are people other than the Adamaneve bunch. What I was told by a fundy minister when I asked this same question is that Adam and his family were created directly by God as His chosen people and the only true humans, but there were other humans around as well, you know, probably Irish and Palestinians and Methodists and whatnot. Regular folks just like me. These are the kind of people that Cain married into.
All respect to my Irish and Palestinian and Methodist brothers.
Maybe I should take the safe route and just say that it is meant to be taken figuratively. Yeah! that's the ticket! It's figurative...

If you found that, seems strange you did not follow up and find out where he found his wife...He was exiled from Eden and went to te land of Nod or Nog and selected a wife. There was a apparently, a thriving civilization at this time. Leaving the conclusion; Adam & Eve were created as the progenitors of the Jewish race. The offspring of Abraham and his wife's maid was the beginning of the Arabic race. Already suggesting the animosity between the two races. Which has never subsided.

My "theory" is that Adam and Eve had more children then mentioned. Thus Cain's wife may have been his sister or
daughter of one of his brothers or sisters. For those who would question the genetics problems possible with a relationship like
this, I say that the gene pool was quite strong in the beginning
and likely not a problem. Again just my "theory".

It does not say Cain got his wife when he went to nod, only that he lay with her. Cain married one of his sisters. The Bible says Adam lived 930 years and had many sons and daughters. It also says that Eve is the mother of all living. How else could it have been done?

Lol I've always wondered that. God creates Adam and Eve. They have two kids, Cain and Abel. Cain kills abel then somehow he has a wife who appears out of nowhere.
The reason is that the Bible, especially Genesis, is a load of BS.

I am putting in the website to best answer your question. It will give you the answer much better then I can. But here is a basic...Adam and Eve had other children, the bible does not say when Cain left or when he got a wife.
The website I listed also has many other topics answered.

There is a possible answer, and I do not know if you would entirely agree. This is a flaw in the Bible, an unseen thing that goes by and is ignored by those who want to follow their religion without trouble. Apparently (after I questioned several Christians about the same thing that troubled me), Cain's wife was just "there" and it just "happened". This seems to me one of the most corrupt areas of the Bible, but again, after asking Christian people, they have said that the Bible was re-written by man, and is therefore not perfect. In my opinion, this answer was just a load of bullshit that Christians use to cover up this flaw. I have nothing against these people, but really, not one person has approached me with a different perspective on how to cover it. It is a flaw, no question about it.

Cain, his wife and Enoch were all wiped out in the flood anyway.
Cain tried to lead a normal life after killing Abel.
