Although I don’t want to watch the new, I feel like I have to know what is going on. The problem that I have is that since all the news is about some is getting killed or shot I found it very negative. I stop watching the news for like two weeks in then I start watching it again but right after hearing all the bad things I fear that will happen to me which is normal. The thing I am worried about is I start picturing things and I get all worked up and I don’t like that. I mean sometimes I look out side of my house after hearing bad news, or I check my doors to make sure they are locked several times. What do you think I should do stop watching or any suggestions. Serious tips only!

I'm depressed enough. Death, Gas Prices, a President that was the Class Clown of his family and now the USA. A war zone thousand year old with soldiers coming home with open arms unlike the Vietnam Veterans that were drafted into service having to fight America for benefits and being spit on upon their return home. Oil Companies getting richer and me getting poorer. Naw the news is the last thing I need to watch. BTW I don't begrudge the Iraqi Veterans their accolades but America forgets too soon how they treated the Vietnam Vet

G'day Ladybug,

Thanks for the question.

Are you affected by all news? If so, I would speak to a psychologist.

If it is TV news broadcasts that affect you only, read a newspaper or on the Internet. I would then speak to a psychologist.

Hope you find a solution to your problem.

Regards
