No, the premise that war has been the result of atheism is faulty. Look at most of the conflicts that have taken place in the world and one will find that they were started in the name of a religion or a god in an attempt to advance one or both. Thus, it can successfully be argued that it has indeed been the believers that have been behind most wars and conflict.
