I just got mine out three days ago. I still have the stitches in and everything, but it doesn't hurt too much unless I smile too much or something. I've just been eating a potato soup my mom made and applesauce and such, but I've been able to somewhat eat a normal diet, to an extent. I was sleepy the first day or so due to the painkillers and such, but during the surgery it was fine because of the laughing gas and such.
By the way, remember to take penicilin or something for them to prevent infection. I know of someone who did get an infection, and she was in extreme pain for three weeks.

I had all four taken same time as well. I recommend taking either the gas or go full under if someone will be there for you. You will not be able to eat anything solid for a good week or so. Lots of slimfast and yougurt. I made the mistake of trying to eat 1 peanut 2 days after...oh big mistake. They will most likely put stiches in the area, so don't be suprised if you feel something in your mouth. No smoking or using straws for 2 weeks. The sucking may pull the clots and cause a dry socket. Keep the extraction site clean. Your dental surgeon will prolly give you a tool to do that with. Otherwise, its all experience.
Oh, and you will have gauges put in your mouth after sugery to control the blood. You will have to change them a couple of times. So avoid going places you may have to talk. I made the mistake of setting an appointment with a mortage broker after the sugery....I spit blood all over his desk trying to answer a question.

Yes. I had two of them removed on the left side of my mouth. I had a real bad headache/jaw ache for about one week. Took advil for the pain. Other than that, I did not eat on that side of my mouth for an entire month just to make sure it was healed.
I have the right side of my mouth to do too, but it is not paining like the left side was, so I think I will hold off on removing them unless it becomes really necessary.

I had 6 (YES 6) wisdom teeth, they were all impacted also. I was totally knocked out. I could barely walk when I woke up. I could remember not wanting to take the vicodin, because my mouth was still numb and felt humongous. The best part about it was the chocolate milkshakes my mom made me :O)
It didn't hurt... but about 2 weeks after they were quite sore (since I wasn't taking the vicodin anymore)
I really wish I could have gotten to keep mine, but since they were impacted they would have just been fragments anyways!!!

Yes, I had one removed, then two at the same time. I was happy to have them out because they hurt. It took some time and the shot wasn't bad, and afterward, the ones on top gave me more trouble than the ones on bottom. Some pain, but Tylenol and sleep helped. I ate soup and soft stuff and was good as new on the 3rd day.

i did all 4 at once, you need to request being knocked out cause it is the way to go!!!!!!!!!!! you wake up and feel hungover and dont pull the gauze out of your mouth too quick because you will bleed all over the place like i did and spit out a lot of blood. i took one day off school and was back at it except you have to eat jello, and ice cream, applesauce, for a week or so. keep it clean even though it may hurt to clean the holes or u risk an infection. good luck to you.

it can be terrible if you don't do what the surgeon tells you to do after surgry... *if you are getting them cut out like I did*
it will hurt at times, you wont be able to eat solid food for about 2 weeks...
but after that if you do everything right you should be back to normal
...
getting all 4 out im sure they will give you something strong for pain
like maybe vidodin... it will help indeed
