I already joined the military (Army) two years ago and have spent the time since trying to go to Iraq. I finally got my way and leave in less than a month.

Joining the Military doesn't mean you would go over and fight in this war. There are a lot of Armed force members who haven't steeped foot in Iraq, and never will.

Definately. I will gladly serve when and where I am put. I am leaving for basic in September hoping to join Airborne Rangers and eventually retire from the Army. God Bless the troops; and to all you anti-war "liberated" minds why don't you take your @$$ somewhere else to talk bad about our soldiers we're the ones who give you the right to shoot your damned mouth off

I've been out of the military for 17 years now. I was ready, willing and able then. It's the next generation who must shoulder this burden, now, as we did in our turn.

If you're against war, why don't you go to Gaza or Beirut or Damascus or Teheran or Chechnya or Sudan and protest against the terrorists there? Put your money (and your butt) where your mouth is. I did in my time. Time for you, even you anti-war people, to step up.

And protesting in the US or Europe or even Israel is not enough. You have to go protest the people who are starting the wars, not countries where the military will die to protect you.

Tried to reenlist USMC. medically unfit. (indisutrial accident 11 yrs ago) they don't want the liability. It's crazy, people all know what some of the casualties look like, and they think I would sue if I became more disabled in a non-combat accident!

Sorry I'm too old. Why were you looking for a ride?

Thank you to all those serving and about to serve. God bless you.

I have already served, thankyouverymuch, and have gone beyond the age and health where they would allow me back in. Otherwise, I'd go in a heartbeat.

Already been to Iraq twice. Talked the talk, walked the walk.
How about you?

Been there - done that.

When are you going to go to Iraq to be a human shield?
