i had used partition magic programme to join two partiotions in my hard drive , but the original contents cannot be seen or accessed. the hard drive information shows that there are contents in it but when i open the drive i can't see anything. i have tried using system recovery and changing drive letters and everything but still i can't mange to get the contents, can anyone help me witht the problem ,please?

Have you tried changing the hidden files/folders option? And if PartitionMagic joined them, it may have had to delete and then reformat a completely new partition. When you right click and click properties on the drive, how much space is used? And how big a hard drive is it?

This is why the program, as well as ALL programs that have to deal with partitioning or formatting your drive, recommend that you back up your data. Reformat the drive and do your partitioning while nothing important is on the drive, sounds like something got screwed up with the file system of the operating system.
Most of all read the directions next time...especially on condom packages.
