I am cooking a large amount of fried chicken wings tonight and it would take forever in the one pan I was going to use. Can I put my large roasting pan on the stovetop and use two eyes to heat it? Of course I would put the oil in it. Need to know! Thanks!

Stovetop Roasting Pan

Aluminum is not a good conducter of heat so the oil will never get hot enough to fry anything. I would suggest a turkey fryer with a basket for the job you need to perform.
Also remember as aluminum roasting pans become hot they become less rigid. This could cause your pan to become misshappen from the weight of the oil resulting in hot oil spilling everywhere.

Please don't do that. Because of all the reasons above. If you're not able to get a deep fryer or another pan. I would suggest oven fried chicken. It comes out really good and you can use the roasting pan inside of the oven where it should be. There are a lot of different recipes, just go to allrecipes.com or search google for a good recipe for oven fried chicken

Good Luck

No.
Some glass top stoves are designed to allow this, but you are NOT allowed to jimmy rig this.

ESPECIALLY NOT with oil. You will hurt yourself or cause a fire. Then you will either explain to the fireman or to the ER nurse that you "Thought it was a good idea" and "yes, it was all just for some chicken wings"

Then they will give you that "special" look. That will hurt more than the burns.

Don't risk it. If you are desperate Buy a "Fry daddy" Or go to the salvation army and buy a second pot for cheap.

Only if you have a couple fire extinguishers.
