That happens when I am stressed out or drink too much coffee. An occassional mylanta (like before the movies can help) but don't rely on those for ling because they will loose their effect if you take too many. Yeah, see a doctor it you can't seem to pinpoint any cause.

That's really strange others experience that! I used to in my late teens and twenties when I was very STRESSED out with life.. Now I no longer have the problem. Well, since then and now, I have changed my diet to be healthier (more fiber, make sure I eat breakfast everyday with a high fiber cereal, take multivitamins and flax seed oil, exercise often, and drink alot more water). I also handle stress really well now. Managing stress came with time and maturity. I also used to drink alot of coffee. Now I don't as much.
Eating too quickly may be bad not only for gas but also for growls? I used to eat quickly too.
So I'm implying the cause may be your lifestyle (nutrition, how you ear, exercise, and stress factors) but I'm not sure. I'm not even sure if mine went away due to these changes. Good luck....

I suspect your problem is just Constipation which is caused by the slow passage of digesting food through any part of the intestine. You may also be experiencing infrequent stools, hard stools, difficulty passing stools (straining), or a sense of incomplete emptying after a bowel movement.
Home remedies for constipation are a natural way of returning the balance to the body. However, if you do opt for them consult your physician first.
You can dtry these:
a. Drink lots of liquids especially water
b. Eat a lot of dietary fibers like whole grains, fruit and vegetables. Avoid certain foods, like beans, cauliflower and cabbage. Also avoid milk, if you suspect it to be the cause of your constipation.
c. Exercise is good for the bowels, since it helps in moving the food through the bowel faster. The best form of exercise is walking. A good 20 to 30 minutes of walk a day would keep constipation away.
d. Aloe vera juice helps clean the digestive system.
e. Tea: Ginger tea is a great home remedy for constipation relief, as it helps start bowel movement. Yerba mate in tea form is another good alternative for constipation.

Stomach growling,if not accompanied by abdominal pains,is a good sign that whatever you ate is being properly digested. The louder the noises, the more intense the action down in your Gut.
The sounds arise from spontaneous release of gas from the stomach contents through the retracted stomach sphincters.Large amounts of Gas result in Louder noises.
To reduce on the quantitiy of Gas(and therefore on Loudness of Noises),try to eat a balance of protein and Carbs;and not more of Protein, keeping both amounts small. You could also sip some Herbal tea with your meal or after your meal.It helps!

if it keeps happening uncontrollably when you are out and about..keep a bottle of tums in your purse // at school//so that way if it happens you can take care of it...and you might not be getting enough water...if you are having stomach pains while your stomach is growling drink at least 8 oz. of water...water gets rid of what's making the pains//noises in your stomach..it flushes it all out...good luck!
