Each of you could write her a letter, talking about a special moment they remember sharing with her, talking about how she's touched your lives in a special way. Put these letters into a photo album along with photos of the writers, and other snapshots of you guys with her throughout the years. If any of the family is unable to write (too young or otherwise) then have a ghost writer write their letter, or have them dictate the letter to the "ghostwriter". Present her with the scrapbook/photo album unfinished/filled. Tell her that the remaining blank pages are for all of you to do with her, either adding a new scrapbook page each year at this time, or for you guys to do right then and there, just have the photos and the scissors and glue ready. As you're picking out photos you'll most likely find yourselves reminiscing and laughing over those old photos. That is special time together and you'll pick up a bit of family history too!

You can make her "Queen for a Day" complete with crown!

You all could make her the center of attention. Clean up your house for her- including your rooms. If you are old enough, volunteer to do the laundry- fold it and put it away. Someone can clean the kitchen- put away the dishes after they are cleaned.

Everyone can take turns making the meal- everyone gets to do a portion of the meal- side dishes, main course, dessert.

She can watch whatever she wants on t.v. and listen to her favorite music without anyone else complaining.

Depending on what kind of money you can spend, everyone can get her some special "gifts" like bath salts, lotions, etc. Maybe buy a CD or DVD for her?

Eat pop corn. drink soda and watch her favorite movie.

Be sure to clean up when you're done so she doesn't have to clean up after her own party.

I hope these ideas help.

You are adorable!!! I am a mother of an 18 year old son and 13 year old daughter and they have always asked me what it is I really want from them for a present...and I always say the same thing, and I always mean it...something written or made by them that lets me know how they feel about me or our relationship.

Perhaps if all of you put together a collage of photos of all of you from different ages on a large poster board with stickers or sparkles or something like that? With signatures from all of you saying how much you love and appreciate her? It's affordable and SHE WILL LOVE IT! It's something that she can hang on a wall with pride. Believe me, we moms love that kind of thing.

Whatever you do for her she will love because you are taking the time to think about it and do it, sweetheart. You sound like a great person and she's lucky to have you!

Treat her to a meal out (at your home or a restaurant), buy one single red rose for her, take her to the movies, or just go visit with her for longer than a few minutes. Take her yard selling or anything else she loves to do that will not cost anymore than you can afford. Most Moms do not have to have a lot of money spent on them, they just love to know you care. Tell her " I love you, Mom". That statement goes a very, very long way.

Try doing the chores around the house that she would usually do. Try doing an evening meal. Or just spend some time with her. You'd be amazed at how much that would mean to her!

Treat her to a manicure, that is affordable. While she's there, straighten up the house and have dinner ready, even if it's pizza.
