Well Christianity is the true religion.....it serves the real living God.......now we don't feel the need as you say to convert everyone....we just don't want anyone to go to hell...especially when there is a way out of it.....it is showing others love and compassion when we express the truth of who Jesus is...so we feel we must make sure all have had the opportunity to make a choice...... but we also know that there are many who just wont accept Jesus and will be lost.......we understand that...but it still is a needless thing

Greetings to you,
Let me start the answer by saying religion is not Christianity. Christianity is the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Christian religion are the traditions of that belief. Now, I as a Believer that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, do not feel the need to pound people with my ideologies. The Word of God says in Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." You are supposed to walk it and live it. If people ask then you tell them who you are and why you are that way. Do I believe that the Jesus is the only way to heaven, yes, but I am not to condemn those who don't believe as I do. Jesus did not condemn me when I didn't. I would say that those individuals that are acting in the way you are describing are acting out of immaturity in the faith and though have good intentions are misinformed as to how to show the love of God that should be in them. We are not to be Christan pharisees. I pray that God Bless you and keep you while you continue to seek answers pertaining to He that made all things.

I believe that there is only one way to God, and that is by faith in His son. I didn't realize this until I started reading the bible...He made that statement, as it is recorded in the book of John, chapter 14, verse 6. I don't think I'd use the word "superior", though.
I don't attempt to convert anyone. I can't anyway; only God can open a persons' eyes and heart to who Jesus is.
But I do love talking about Him, and about the bible. I hope I don't come off as arrogant...I just like answering questions honestly and to my best ability, based on the bible. Now, if a person doesn't believe the bible...okay, that's up to them.

This is a question that witches have asked for centuries. Sharing your religion and your joy in it is one thing, but doesn't killing those who refuse to follow you classify as a sin? What happened to "do unto others" and though shalt not kill" ? Or do the ten commandments apply only to other Christians? This country was founded by people seeking religious freedom. Ironic, isn't it?

Oh please. I hate questions like this. think of for a 2nd you're an extremely passionate Christian. you believe you have got here upon the appropriate actuality. Your faith, on your opinion, has made you right into a greater helpful individual. would not it make experience which you ought to share that with human beings? would not it make experience that once human beings oppose your ideals, you may get protecting, or maybe even aggressive in direction of them? there is not any longer something incorrect with human beings desirous to unfold their ideals and evaluations. i do no longer understand the way each and each individual on Y!A can ***** approximately this (relatively the atheists), whilst Y!A itself is in elementary terms a super communicate board for human beings protecting their very own ideals. Evangelism is a organic component to being a believer. The Christians do it, the Jews do it, and the atheists do it.

I think that they do this to reinforce in their own minds that they are right.... If they convert someone.... They have convinced themselves that they are right! I always love throwing the statistics at Christians like 67% of the world population doesn't believe in Christianity. Or I'll say something like.. "ya know, almost 70% of the world population think that you are wrong"
That really gets them going!
Hey, you really took a beating on that Peurto Rico question!
Oh well, keep you head up!
Peace!

If you don't feel that your religion is "superior" then why follow it. I don't know if "superior" is the right word choice but I do that my religion is the truth. My God told me to be a "fisher of men" so that's why we feel I need to bring them to God. We are just to bring them in and God does the rest.

lovedbylove said it. Christians spread the Word of God and gives everyone a chance to except Him and His son, Jesus Christ. John 3:16-17 says, " For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever shall believe in Him shall not perished, but have everlasting life. For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for the world, but for the world to be saved through Him."

Because the majority of those who profess to be Christians and are hell bent to convert others are mindless sheeple who refuse to even look at, never mind study, other ideas.
I do not include the thousands who actually live as they believe and convert by example not irritation

For the same illogical reason that they believe that a 2000 year old book is the truth, that their god is the only god, and that they feel they must screach to all about their beliefs, the 2000 year old book says all of this and more. Just because the bible says it they believe it.
