I think the group stage was beyond them anyway, I knew they would win the 2nd qualifier but any team would be too good for Hearts in the 3rd qualifier. Its not all lost though, they can drop into the UEFA cup which is probably their level right now with Rangers & hopefully Gretna. Hearts would have to finish in the top 2 of the SPL regularly to gain easier entry to the group stages of the Champions League. Plus it may help their cause if they revamp Tynecastle instead of using Murrayfield.
