From the first amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...
Unless you propose destroying western democracy to unsuccessfully keep some people from praying in the manner they wish, then the answer to your question is, No.

Since this is the USA you can be any religion you want as long as you don't harm the weak, children or animals. Unlike most parts of the Middle East where you could be killed for openly declaring you are changing to any religion other then Islam, we here in the west have the luxury to chose HOW we want to worship. At least we've had that right to actually practice any religion we want within the last 100 years. The reason I say the last 100 years is because for for first 100 years or so Native Americans were forced to change their religion because so called Christians believed they were heathens.
Even though religion was the reason British citizens left England for the "new world", at that time Christianity was the ONLY allowed religion in this land until we broke away from England. Although the right to religious freedom has been in our Constitution since this country's inception over 200 years ago, true religious freedom in the USA has only been known for less than 100 years.
We should enjoy this freedom while we can and not even contemplate banning religions.

The fact is that pure Islam states never to hurt anyone unless in self defence, ie. if a murderer tries to kill you then it's not a sin to beat them up, considering they're bad and all.
Any organisations that condone terrorism and say that they must "kill all infidels", etc., and say that it is a part of Islam are in fact twisting and perverting the religion into whatever they want, and the Qu'ran expressly defines that anyone that tries to do this is in fact an "infidel", as it were, and should be avoided.
Terrorists have killed people in the name of Islam and Christianity and Judaism and Hinduism and even Buddhism, but they're just making up as they go along.
And while it's true that so many deaths and wars have been fought over religion, we shouldn't ban any of them, because it's injustice to all those good people out there, and if we did, would it stop killing or unfairness or war? It'd cause more, if anything.
Nor should we even ban them all. Banning all religions is a totalitarian approach. Demanding that no one may believe in anything is as bad as demanding that they should believe in one particular thing. And once you start, were do you stop? You know, a lot of short people have started wars. We'd have to ban them. Men have been behind a lot of them too. Out they go!!
The opposite of a ban is the best approach. Instead of excluding others, we should include them and accept them. Accept people of all creeds, races and nationalities and hatred will just fade away...

No way, you can't just get up and 'ban' an entire religion! There are over 1.6 BILLION Muslims around the globe. You think they'll just get up and happily convert to another religion just because you told them to do so? This a preposterous question. There is no reason to ban Islam. Even if you wanted to, how would you go around and authorize such a thing. The United Nations would never approve it. If you tried force through war, all the Muslim countries would nuke America. And if America still tried to do so, all of the ally countries with a large number of Muslims wouldn't allow it or help with any of it because they would be trying to calm down the Muslims in their own country. There's just no way you can ban a religion without banning every other religion along with it.

It is just like asking that "Should TRUTH be banned from the World?" Islam is the True religion, and the only religion which promotes Peace, Harmony and Humanity than any other, if the followers do sthg wrong, it doesnt mean the religion is wrong, Islam always teaches what is Right, and to choose b/w Right/Wrong is ppl's choice. If u have any misconceptions abt Islam then i ask u to contact me at askabtIslam@yahoo.com, and i will clear all ur misconceptions to the best of my capability, 'coz Islam is Pure and Perfect.

All religions should be banned. Religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began. There is considerable evidence to classify religion as evil, and talk of religion (Gods etc) should be banned. Because the records prove over and over again throughout humanity that religion is clearly responsible for crimes against humanity, taking part in any religious activity should also be outlawed and made a criminal offence.
The world would be a much happier and peaceful place if religion ceased to exist. Although there are some decent religious believers and preachers, they are unwittingly spreading evil around our world, and that they should simply keep their beliefs and thoughts to themselves in the best interests of humanity, or suffer the consequences for their actions.
People should consider that the world would be like Heaven if religion ceased to exist, but all the believers and preachers have turned the planet into Hell.

No way. Islam is the religion of peace. Muslims worship the same One Almighty God as Jews and Christians. Why do Christians and Jews want to ban Islam when it is an Abrahamic Monotheistic religions like their own, and yet they don't want to ban pagan and satanic religions? Muslims are misunderstood and no where does the Qur'an promote terrorism. It also doesn't promote violence, unless the enemy starts. Only self defense is allowed. Committing suicide is against Islam and I know that many people in the Middle East do it, but they are contradicting with the Qur'an. They also worship God, when they say "Allah", it means God in Arabic. Arab Christians and Jews say "Allah" when referring to the Almighty God. It is just like saying "Elohim" if you are Hebrew. Are you worshipping a different deity? Of course not. Allah is not a different deity from Almighty God. Muslims are misunderstood. You might want to read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam

That would be like saying you could ban sin.
It's impossible to ban a culture of hate. The heart must be changed.
