*** yeah- you have a 3sFe with a huge catalyic converter thet sits right behind the radiator, that thing is hotter than any other part on your car,
They are the same engines that are ina 1986-1993 TOYOTA CELICA.
The way you fix it is make sure your thermostat is working right , and the radiator in that car fails, mine feailed three times in 2 years, cause of the heat.
yES IT IS NORMAL FOR YOUR CAR TO HEAT UP, BUT IF IT GOES ABOVE THE 3/4 MARK EITHER PULL OVER - OR TURN THE HEATER ON FULL BLAST!!!

I'd have to say no. All my cars have ran the same temperature no matter what its like outside.
Your temp guage should read about halfway, maybe a little less. If its anything more than half, you've got a problem.
First thing to do would be top off the coolant. You could be low.
If that doesnt work, replace the thermostat, and flush the coolant.

yep when its hotter outside everything runs a little hotter. dont sweat the small stuff. what you are seeing more is the fan cycle and a electric fan will not turn on til about 220 degrees or so and turn off at about 200 or so
