Just bought this house and it needs something to not look so plain. What color shutters do you suggest. Does anybody know how i can somehow add colors to it on the comp so i can get an idea? I tried microsoft paint but it blows up the picture to much.http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/paineless4/detail?.dir=9955re2&.dnm=7fd7re2.jpg&.src=ph

Hi. Sometimes taking a picture or 2 of the outside of your house and going to Lowe's Or Home Depot and putting the pic up against a few different colors of shutters will help. Someone suggested this to me and I think it worked out great. Hope this helps you.

Is that yellow or beige?

I would suggest slate blue, burgundy red, or hunter/sage green. Just about any color would go with that, so it all depends on what you want to look at everyday. In the end, you should go with your gut.

Best of luck!

I would do any of the following colors: barn red, blue, or hunter green. Also paint your front door the same color.

I would either match it to your front door color and keep it dark. Your house color is light so you should darken the shudders to allow it to accent. I might even go with a dark stain color.

Black or dark gray. It's a very traditional design (and that's good), so don't try to get cute or fancy with it. It needs continuity.
