Few human beings really understand what genetic engineering is. i do not recognize no matter if Europeans have more effective understanding of this, or what. I actually have spoke of that regularly human beings do not recognize the version between genetic engineering and easy hybridization. they do no longer recognize that genetic change contains splicing genes from a distinct species into the DNA. Even a lot less do they retain in mind that genes from an animal or per chance a human will be spliced into the DNA of a nutrition plant. except for the shown actuality that we do not recognize what lengthy time period outcomes would effect from farming and eating those inter-species mixes, there is the question of the ethics of blending species. a minimum of we could continuously be recommended which species are jumbled in a given product, and what type of safe practices finding out has been carried out.

No, not at all. It was even worse years ago and those people are still living today. There is no proof that people that eat organic food live longer. You can live in some cities and eat all the organic food you want but, still be exposed to pollution, the sun, bad building materials, man made medications, lack of exercise, and other.
Move to a remote area that hasn't been affected by mankind. Raise your own food and live off the land. That's the way to go.

although there has been some increase in yield in some crops, in general the genetic modification has failed to live up to its hype; in addition, these modified genes are finding their way into other varieties of the same species, causing a spread in the genes which, in some cases, cause a deleterious effect in terms of long-term viability and overall genetic diversity.

Apart from that, some of them just don't taste good and/or lose the distinctive taste I'm looking for. Witness 'blond' wheat. It's far less interesting and tasty than the red wheat from which it is derived.

No problem ... I've been eating genetically modified foods for years. The third arm I grew makes it easy to scratch my back. ;~)

But seriously - genetically modifies foods have been around for a long while. Many have not been approved for human consumption and are still under vigorous testing. Those that have been approved are safe to eat.

Nope, I sure don't. I acutally like GEM foods, because they are better, that's the whole point of modifying them.

i care very much. there needs to be more regulation, i am all for scientific advancement but not at the peril of those you are trying to help... unless of course your underlying motive is just profit, (monsanto), then they can just go to hell.
