Oral sex (from Latin os, oris "mouth") consists of all the sexual activities that involve the use of the mouth, tongue, etc., to stimulate genitalia. It may be used as foreplay before intercourse, or as climax of a sexual act, which may also include the ingestion of semen and vaginal fluids. Ingestion of these fluids alone, without physical mouth-to-genital contact, is not considered to be oral sex. Common slang terms for oral sex, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, include to "go down on", "give head to" or "give a ******* to" a partner.
Oral sex is often used as the principal form of sexual expression or as part of foreplay. Not only are the sexual organs sensitive and well supplied with nerve endings, the same is true of the mouth, tongue and lips, so enjoyment of oral sex is not always limited to the person on the receiving end.
Utility
In heterosexual relationships, oral sex can be a method of contraception (birth control) since pregnancy is impossible unless semen enters the vagina. Many heterosexuals choose oral or anal sex as an alternative to intercourse for this reason (although anal sex does not necessarily prevent semen from entering the vagina). It is important to note that these activities are not effective methods of preventing sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

Yes, you can get an STD from oral sex. I know a female who was sexually assaulted orally and her throat starting swelling up immediately due to the perpetrator having an STD.

Sounds like you don't have a good handle on your boyfriend right now since you don't no if he is clean or not. The only time you should put anything in your mouth is when you know exactly where that thing has been. If your going to do it anyway just make sure you rinse and spit.

Of course you can! There are protections out there for oral sex. If you make a poor decision to not use them, you must make sure there are no open wounds or sores on either of yours mouth or genitals. Aids and herpes are the major ones that can be passed. Be careful and ENJOY!

If he has an STD, you can catch it via oral sex. It is possible to contract gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, HPV, herpes, etc. via oral sex. You can use a condom on him if you perform fellatio for him. And, he can use a dental dam if he performs cunnilingus for you.
Do be careful and make sure that this is what you really want.
