Pecan Brownies

3/4 pounds butter, melted
1 1/4 pounds sugar
3/4 teaspoon coarse salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup whole eggs
2 ounces cocoa powder
8 ounces flour
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine the melted butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Blend well until smooth. Add the salt, vanilla, and cinnamon, and blend until smooth. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, and mix until smooth. Combine the cocoa powder and flour, and sift. Add the cocoa-flour mixture to the butter mixture and to form a batter. Add 1/2 the nuts, and blend well.
Grease a 9 by 13-inch baking dish. Pour the batter into the dish. Sprinkle the surface with the remaining 1/2-cup of nuts. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until set.

Easy! Go to a grocery store, buy a brownie mix, follow the recipes to make the brownies, when you're baking the brownies, just sprinkle on pecans before you put it in the oven!

Take a box of plain old brownie mix and add a 1/2 Cup to a cup of pecan peices. Wha-la!

Recipe for chocolate brownies with pecans and chocolate icing.
INGREDIENTS:
1 stick (4 ounces) butter
1/4 cup cocoa
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla
PREPARATION:
Grease and flour an 8 x 8-inch baking pan. In a small saucepan, melt butter with cocoa. Beat eggs until foamy, then gradually beat in sugar. Add cocoa-butter mixture to egg mixture. Sift flour and baking powder then sift half of it into batter. Mix pecans into the remaining flour; add to cake batter; stir to blend well. Add vanilla. Spread batter into the pan; bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Ice cooled brownies with icing (below) if desired.
Icing:
2 cups powdered sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
heavy cream or half and half
1 teaspoon vanilla
Sift powdered sugar and cocoa into a mixing bowl. Add vanilla and enough cream to be of desired spreading consistency.

Chocolate Pecan brownies

Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
5/8 cup unsalted butter (10 Tbsp.)
2 cups packed golden brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Flour and butter a 9 x13 x 2 pan.
Sift flour into a bowl. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking.
soda. Set aside. Melt butter. In mixing bowl, place melted butter.
and add sugar, mixing well. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
Add flour slowly, blending. Batter will be slightly thick.
Spread in pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over all.
Bake for 25 30 minutes. 6-8 servings

i'm sorry, i really don't like nuts in my brownies. they get all soggy and they're unsalted. unsalted nuts taste gross!
