Her cycle could just be a little out of whack from the abortion. She should call the doctor though.

When you carry out an Abortion,it should take about 5-6 weeks for the endometrium(Uterine lining) to heal, and for you to have normal periods. However, once uve had your period, everything gets back to Normal. Its very unusual for you to miss your period 3 months in a row, unless your friend is pregnant again,or has Uterine damage of some sort. Please consult a Gynaecologist as soon as you can!

The abortion may have messed up her cycle for a while, but should return back to normal. THere is also always the possibility that maybe she's pregnant again???

Not to criticise you, or be rude, but why are you asking about your friend, and how do you know this?

YOU or your FRIEND? I'm confused... Don't be ashamed, and don't be afraid of criticism. It's okay that you had an abortion. Go to the doctor about your period...

Good luck.

having an abortion or a miscarraige is a HUGE shock to your system. It may take a while for her body to get back into a normal cycle. If it continues, go see a obgyn to make sure that nothing is wrong.

It may take some time before she gets back on a regular cycle. Tell your friend she should contact her doctor ASAP and not to have unprotected sex because she can still get pregnant or worse.

Good luck

Did she resume having unprotected sex? If so chances of getting pregnant after giving birth, a miscarriage or abortion are VERY high.

Consult a physician. If she doesn't have the money to see a doctor or if she wants to do it alone (without her parents knowing) then see the people at Planned Parenthood.

That procedure is hard on the body. It may be irregular for a while but I'd ask a doctor just to be safe.
