after pulling my tower from storage and starting it I got the message 'no operating system found'...?

I have already replaced the lithium battery
initially i got the windows desk top to come up but then it locked and now everytime i start the tower i get that message...

Your HDD is not detected. Goto Bios and auto detect the HDDs. That solves your issue.

That's a hard drive problem for sure. Time to buy a new one. It sounds like the drive that's in there will at least spin up a bit so it may be possible to recover data from that drive, if needed.

Hard disk has corrupted.

It may be about to die completly, try formatting and re-installing
