This is true. It happend to a friend of mine. It was from the IRS.
Now, just as a precausion, I don't open anything they send me either electronically or otherwise. In fact, I don't send them anything either.

No. They tell you that so that you'll keep sending it. And then the people YOU sent it to send it again, and on, and on, and on!
DON'T SEND CHAIN MAILS. Just delete those crappy things, and tell the person that sent it to you to STOP.
