Denomination just clouds the truth. Read the Bible. It doesn't say anything about being Catholic or Protestant.. it says to follow Christ. That's what is important.
When non believers talk about religion being man made, they are partially right.. that part is about denomination. God intends to have a relationship with us all, and for us all to have a relationship with each other. That is what religion is about. In a word, relationship. Denomination is simply man augmenting God's word to try and enforce it in different ways. You can have a very successful spiritual walk with God all you life and never step foot into a church.

I am a non denominational Christian.
We believe in merging all christian denominations for one purpose. To praise God all together as one. The way it should be.
Just follow Jesus to the best of your ability and it really doesn't matter what the "true" denomination is.

many cases interior the NT we are admonished to be watchful of wolves in sheep's clothing. we are informed to objective all issues, and to be careful of fake gospels, fake doctrine and fake teachings approximately Christ. Jesus even mentioned some might come claiming i'm the Christ ( admitting Jesus as Messiah ) yet might instruct "yet another Jesus". This assumes He already knew those distinctive "denominations" might upward push up. narrow is the gate, and puzzling is the direction that finally ends up interior the certainty, there are FEW who locate it. Many prefer the extensive common highway, thinking God desires to make issues common for them. you will could pray, attempt and seek deeply to comprehend if what you have been taught is provable by using the finished Scriptures. So no, no longer all denominations are genuine Christians. remember what Christ spoke " Why do you call me Lord Lord and not DO the failings which I say?" and " in case you adore Me, save MY commandments".

There isn't one. Most of the thousands of Christian sects proclaim exclusivity, but there is no objective way to determine who is in fact "true". Eastern Orthidox and Catholicism both claim to be the direct heirs and holders of the "original" teachings of Jesus, but their word is just that: Their word. Supposedly in the Bible there is a list of things that define a "true" follower of Jesus and God, but the list is very vague and can be bent to include practically anyone...from the Catholic Church to Christian Identity.
I suspect most christians would simply proclaim, "Mine, obviously."

Christ.
Following Christ is the only true "religion", denominations just break it down into practices, making none of them the true one.

Those of The Christian Faith are the Body of Christ's Church... There is only one True Church and that is The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. All who come to God in The Way He proscribes and receive His free gift of Salvation are part of The Church

Catholic, Protestant...doesn't matter. Those who worship God must worship in spirit and in truth. The where or who is irrelevant.
Just my opinion...I was raised Catholic, became Protestant, and have attended Bible-believing congregations in both worlds. God just wants you to be honest with Him, and with yourself about how you really believe.
