According to some christians all the suffering in the world is simply god testing his children. But if god is as they say all knowing why would he need to test his children and if he is all loving why would he want to? Or perhaps he just isn't real.

Tom, Tom, Tom,
I'm beginning to believe you ARE afraid of an actual debate. Or, perhaps you aren't real. Maybe one of the other posters was correct and you are nothing but a little teenager that has no clue how the real world works. I'm kinda bummed out now! I was hoping you did actually have some knowledge of what you keep trying to prove. I think I'm just wasting my time trying to get you to respond intelligently and believe I should just give up. Wow! What was I thinking? Even if you can't answer anything intelligently, it's way too much fun picking on your inflated ego! So don't worry! I'll keep posting! Toodles!

Dear Tom: He is your breath. He is that close.

It is an ancient Christian belief that we are "tested." Nevertheless, it is not a test. There are nothing but lessons on earth - to help you in your Return to the Father/Creator. For after the Separation, the Answer was put into place. The Plan for our Return; through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

A loving Father (learn of His Nature) does not test His children through suffering. He has the Holy Spirit and Jesus teach!
Through Jesus you may learn of the Father's Nature: Jesus says, I came for your remembrance of the Father whose attributes I embodied. If you hunger for Me - you hunger for Him.

People look for a "reason" a "cause" for the suffering of this world, and they came up with - "test." But the true reasons for everything - have nothing to do with tests. Do not be disheartened. Ask Jesus if He would teach you when you read. Get things from the proper source. . .

I know there is an entire Christian argument on behalf of testing. Jesus will tell you - it is not so.

You cannot listen to the words of others when it comes to the truth. If you were taking an open book test in school and the kid beside you said, "The answer to number 4 is Joan of Arc?" Would you simply accept his statement as truth or would you look it up? It's the same way with the Bible. If someone says something that doesn't seem to make sense to you, research it. Even if you're not a Christian, read the Bible to find the answers for yourself.

Really? I've never heard anyone, Christian or otherwise, ever say this. Not until now, anyway.

God doesn't need to test us to know how we're doing... He allows things to show US where we are in our maturity... We need to know what we missed out of the growing process...
To say that God needs to test us, it's a bit superficial at best. Either that or you turned it around to make fun of believers...
And all the suffering in the world is not a test, is the consequence of the evil we perform... it's all on us, baby! You're doubting God??? No problem... it's on you, but don't expect everyone to agree with you. You are not making any more sense that a Christian does... Touchee!

Okay, say your mom knows you screwed up and got into some kind of trouble. Then she asks you about it, she knows what you did she is just -testing- you to see if you will be honest. Same principle. He knows what choice we have done or will do, but he tests us as a leap of faith. For example, that long historic walk through the desert, I'm sure after some time there was alot of complaining and cursing God, but if you faith was strong and true, you would know that the Lord is taking care of you and to trust in him. YES, THE LORD IS REAL. Please don't be fooled by the world. Keep faith and know we will all see him soon!

God is Real. As real as you are. God does not create evil but only free choice. However, God uses all choices to turn evil into good.

Free will offers an opportunity for a true relational Love between God and humanity. God did not want mindless slaves, but family that chooses to love and be loved.

To put it in worldly terms: God is a parental figure. You are to see him as a loving Abba (Daddy) Father. He watches over you, teaches you, disciplines you. If he did not, you would be a spoiled rotten child, and what loving Father wants that for his child? He's not only testing our faith, but he's also disciplining, molding, and changing us. We are creatures of a fallen nature. Sometimes, we give in to that fallen nature, we fall down, and have to be picked up, brushed off and put back on the righteous path. God does this for us in various ways. "...who are you (the created) to ask your Creator why he made you this way.." It is what it is...praise God!

The testing of His children produces righteousness in their character. You do not get gold without the purification of the fire. It is only after the gold has been separated from the ore that it has the characteristics that give it value.

I don't think that God tests us. I think that the test comes in how we measure up to His Spirit and His Word.

When a difficulty comes along in life the test is How do you measure up to Jesus the standard.
