When I cough stuff up there is black ash kinda stuff in it.

You may have an infection. Have you had any sore throat problems you didn't get treated for? Have you been around a fire or something sooty? You really need to see a doctor about this.

PHLEGM Yeah I would consider quitting smoking, because you could even be coughing up part of your lung. Not good man, go see your doctor and get some x-rays or something. Your body is the only one you've got so take care of it!!

I would see a Dr. but I can tell you now our Clean Air Acts since Bush has been in office have pretty much been nuked,so the air you breathe in daily can cause things like that. Also second hand smoke can help. If you don,t smoke cigs do you smoke anything else?

Even though you don't smoke, it still sounds like you were exposed to Tuberculosis! you need to go have a skin test and a chest x-ray. And if they come back positive, you need to get everybody that you are in close contact with checked out. like family friends etc...

I heard of that happening, and sometimes its fecal matter. Do you stay constipated. You'd better see a doctor.
