I can't stand match making. But that is because of my philosophy of love and my individualistic nature.
I believe that for love to be real, I must meet that person (and she meet me) out of my own freewill.
In finding relationships I avoid two things:
1. Blind Dates
and
2. When a girl is obviously announcing to the world either verbally, non-verbally, or dress wise that she is available.
I prefer finding a single woman by complete surprise. It's a challenge to find out if a woman is available and funner that way.
Blind dates annoy me because there is a pressure to connect with the other person which ultimately leads to nervous chemistry between the two.
Besides, I'm too good to be fixed up on a blind date. I don't need anyone's help to fall in love and I will not let anyone take the credit for my own heart's choices!

Certainly! Of course, it depends on the friend and on how desperate I happen to be at the time. I've been out on blind dates with guys I liked who never called back and I've been on blind dates with guys that I wish had never called back. It's a grab bag, pretty much like your own choices. Go ahead, it doesn't hurt (much) to meet someone new. Like someone else said, have an exit strategy, just in case the guy is really awful.

I'm sure there are blind dates that do work, I havent encountered one yet lol! I've only been fixed up once and they did it against my will. They had the guy come to my work without telling me so there wasnt much way to get out of talking to him! He seemed nice but after I got to know him he was a real butthole so even if I was single I wouldnt let my friends do that again.

Blind dates can go either way. If it doesn't work, you can always make a new friend. It's also a good way for your friends to learn what kind of person to set you up on a blind date with.

I've gone along with this but I wouldn't again, its really embarrassing. When you accept a date in a normal situation, at least there was some initial attraction or chemistry. When your friends choose, odds are pretty good there will be zero. Then you have to find a polite way to reject the person who is a friend of your friends, knowing he will be told what you said about him and vice versa. Errrgh, Yuck.

Sure, I wouldn't mind if I were single. Any guy you meet can be hot but boring! Maybe that one just didn't work out, that doesn't mean that you can't go out with someone else on a blind date and it work out for the best! Good Luck!!

Tried that once--Oh!! Wrong thing to do!!!!!!! At least for me, the guy was an absolute Lunatic. He followed me everywhere and became quite annoying. I ended up moving! No Lie. I don't say all these blide dates would be flops, but i'd use a great amount of caution in dating any Guy sight-unseen. Take-Care

It really depends on the persons involved. I did leave somebody to fix me up on a date once. It didn't work, but I think these kinds of dates have the same chances of success as any other kinds.
