I used sun-in, that stuff you can get at the grocery store, but my hair looks orang-y and it makes me look terrible. I'm not allowed to have died hair at my school- I thought this would look natural and inconspicuos. I cannot spend the money to get my hair done at a salon. What am I going to do?

Oh, I feel your pain. Same exact thing happened to me a long time ago. I can go back and see pictures of me with my orange hair and just shiver. Unfortunately, I just had to let mine grow out naturally. If I were you I'd go get a hair color from the store. One closest to your natural color. It should turn out better than what you have now.

The only thing you can do at this point is to go to a beauty supply (Sally's Beauty Supply) store or your local drug store and buy a hair dye that is the closest to your natural color and dye it back. When you have more $$ go back to the beauty supply store and tell them what you want to accomplish. If you have a friend that can help you it won't take as long, but you can put in some highlights or lowlights, that will look more natural than Sun-In, I hate that stuff!!! :) I hope that helps..,,,,

Take it from somebody who's known with you bodily can not circulate from dark brown to blonde without utilising bleach and in case you probably did do it your self it may circulate ginger. the main suitable ingredient could be dye your hair black then get blonde extensions! they're somewhat ordinary to apply, you will have genuine or acrylic hair and that they may well be related in diverse methods, clips or glue and may well be somewhat low-fee too! Pleeeeeeeease try this or you will completely injury your hair!!!

Go get a natural looking semi permanant hair color. Do not however get an "ash" color. This will turn your hair a greenish hue if you have used a bleach. Unless done properly, ash is very scary. Try Clairol Herbal Essences for the semi perm color.

when i was young, i scewed up my hair more times than I care to admit, its all good dear. use a semi or demi permanat color
that MATCHES your natural hair color if youre a red head or
brunette, this will color pretty easily ,however if you are a blong
you need to go a little darker like a wheat color.
at least if its a real color, you wont get in trouble at school, you
should proboly be fine

color can melt your hair.
a client came in one day and asked for a color. i asked her if she had sun in on it and she told me no. i colored her hair and it smelled really bad! it SMOLDERED off. completely melted. (melting hair smells so bad).
she FREAKED out. i had to keep myself from laughing (as she was the wife of a former boyfriend who thought she was 'all that') and she thought i did it on purpose. i swear i didn't think it was going to melt off.
she eventually told me she hadn't put sun in on in a couple of months. if hair grows 1/2 inch a month - you guessed it -her hair ended up 1-1/2 inches long. (with the color she wanted)

well- i know this might sound stupid- but what if you dyed ur hair in a color that is almost exatcly your normal hair color? if it is similar, no one would know and then you could have a similair color until your natural hair comes back in.
