What school supplies do I need?

I am taking a college beginning photography class, besides the books and camera what else do I need in the way of school supplies?

That is probably a question to ask the teacher/instructor. And it would also depend on the type of camera you have. But in general these are at least some other items to consider.

Extra Batteries and Recharger (15 Minute recharger from Target)
Film (several rolls) or Memory Card (1GB or more)
Pen
Pencil
Paper

And whatever camera accessories you can obtain like Lenses and Extra lights.
