Muhammad existed (unfortunately). He left behind the Quran and Sunnah that single handedly has been the growth of Islam and in the future will be its downfall.
Ironic isn't it? I'd say in 50 years or so Islam will go the way of the Nazi.

If you are going to speak badly of a religious leader...at least get your facts straight...Mohamed didn't want to be like Jesus, Jesus is viewed as a great prophet by Islam...Mohamed just thought he was hearing the word of Allah (which is really the same Judeo-Christian god)
I don't know if there is proof of his existance or not, since he is a more recent on the historic timeline I would assume there is a lot more evidence that Mohamed existed than there is of Jesus.

First of all, Mohammed was not a "wannabe-Jesus".
Second, there is a substantial collection of historical records surrounding Mohammed. I would think/hope that these qualify as "proof" that he existed.
What is it that you are looking for? What "proof" do you need?

So many popular names of people around the world have been written many centuries ago that have contributed for great changes in the world and you tend to believe them without proof, how in the world would you ask for proof on this Personality that have almost a billion followers making threats and wrecking havocs to the whole world? Why have you not wish he should not have existed?

Honestly there is more archaeological evidence to support the existence of an actual Mohammed than there is an actual Jesus. Not that this reflects on the truth or falsity of their respective religions, mind you.

Yes dear there is proof. Since he is human, he will definitely returns to God hence a dead phrophet would still need a tomb to be buried and his tomb lies in the muslim holy land of Mecca.
Extra information is that beside him lies the tombs of his dearest friends. Plus an empty tomb for the coming Prophet Isa/Jesus after his arrival back to Earth.
here is the link for pictures of his tomb and final resting place.

There's good evidence of it. There are numerous texts claimed to have been written by him, and although these texts pander to him, they mostly do not portray him as magical. There is other contemporary evidence about him as well.
It's possible he's mythical, but it doesn't seem likely. Mythical men tend to be magical with details emerging as time progresses. That isn't the case with Muhammed.

Yes. There are plenty of objective references to Muhammad during his life. He actually led armies and had quite a lot of followers before he died.
This all happened 600 years after Jesus. Literacy had improved by then.
