What is wrong with incest?

i don't do it nor do i plan to or agree with it but i just want to know, what SPECIFICALLY is wrong with incest.

YES THIS IS A SERIOUS QUESTIONS ASSHOLES. YES I KNOW WHAT IT IS, I'M JUST SAYING THAT NO ONE EVER SAID A SPECIFIC REASON AS TO WHY I IS UNACCEPTABLE. I KNOW IT IS YOU DUMB SHITHEADS. ANSWER WITH A SERIOUS RESPONSE OR GET THE **** OF MY QUESTION.

Incest between a parent and a child is wrong on so many levels, and no not just the social and legal reasons. Parents have control over children anyhow, as children look to their parents for guidance, love, support, and morality. For a parent to use that position to gratify themselves breaches the line of authority and love and enters into a position of controlling even the sexual identity of the child, thereby altering the normal relationship. For two consenting adults, be they mother/son or father/daughter or even brother/sister, then my thoughts change, because I do not believe it should be anyone's business what two consenting adults do.
As to the issue of birth defects, while it is true that should there be a latent recessive gene present in both partners then yes it will increase the likely hood that the defective gene will come to light. This happens in non-incest relationships as well, but there are greater chances of it occurring when the genes are so close. That being said however, if there are no detrimental recessive genes present the mere fact that the parents are related will in no way affect the outcome of the child.

With the exception of creating faults in the genetic make-up and drawing moral outrage from the just about every religion, nothing.

Frankly if you can handle a incestuous relationship and all of the negativity that comes with it you're good. Just know that you will face the worst kind of battle, a long and up hill one, kind of like gay marriage. Except you're you fighting for the right to be recognized as a union of people and have the same rights and protections of other unions...

You're fighting for the right to sleep with someone, something the law has allowed you to do since you turned 18, (just not with anyone you're related to) and you want it to be someone like a parent or other family member.

I can't speak for the rest of the world but as long as you are both consenting adults, do whatever makes you both happy.

Other than being socially unaccepted, it isn't good because it causes genetic problems in the children. Genes need to be spread out and watered down by other families. If this doesn't happen a particular gene can get strengthened and multiplied which isn't good if that gene is say maddness or webbed feet.

do u even know what incest means or are u just trying to get ppl's reactions? it's when u have sex with the members of ur family like ur father or brother. other than it being morally and legally wrong, there could be significant birth-defects should a pregnancy occur because of matching dna. we are talking about severe mental and physical defects about 99% likely. other than that, it's just plain disgusting!

Well for one thing if you are ever a victim of incest then you will never ask if it is ok.
incest is a crime and believe it or not there are alot of kids who are molested and this is very hard on them.

Basically God abhores it, then medically the spread of dieseases can be checked, eg: sickle cell anaemia plus its morally wrong even from the sound of it.
