I put this in parenting because I hope to get better responses. I'm 14 and I am way behind on my shots. Before I start school, I need to get the tetanus, mmr, hepatitis B, chicken pox, and meningitis. They are going to do all 5 today when I go to the doctor. Will they put them all in one arm? Will that many shots hurt? I'm scared!!!!!

Grin and bear it. They are important for your health. They will surely split between your two arms and maybe in a hip. Sorry, take some Tylenol!! Then tell your mom that needs to keep up better with your immunizations.

Most of the shots now a days are put into one. Not necessarily will it be five shots. They will use both arms. Needles aren't really a good thing, but they are a lot thinner now than they used to be and the most you feel anymore is just the fluid going in. I hope it settles you a little before you go. I feel guilty doing it to my kids and I have 5. Good luck, hope it's not so scary for you.

haha seriously, you sound like a baby in the last part.
But in all seriousness I just came right now from the doctors to get my Blood Test and the nurse was like dont worry this wont hurt its like a bees sting wait like a mosquito sting. We use this needle on infants so you should be fine i had a sense of relief until the needle hit me. OOWW! i never had a mosquito bite THAT hard.
But don't worry you should be fine.

I am so sensitive.

No, they will not put them all in one arm.... some of the immunizations will be combined in to one shot.... you will probably get 4 injections.... take it easy if you are worried about discomfort/ mild pain you can take Tylenol before the shots.... trust me you want the shots and not the diseases....

Most likely they will split the arms and do so many in one arm and so many in the other... IF you ask..they could have two nurses do them at the same time...it will hurt..both arms..but it will be over sooner..GOOD LUCK!
