Will scanning a Polaroid ruin the picture?

no it shouldnt as long as the polaroid is finnished developing

if you scan it in a flat bed scanner, no problem.
Make sure you don't run it through the automatic sheet feeder which may have trouble with the thick card and small size and may jam.

Make sure the photo is finished processing. i don't know whether light could affect a print that is a minute old with the image still appearing.
