I am cheap, but very smart. I went to Walmart and got a Remington SuperSonic. It has more intake areas in the back for air. It has three heat settings, high and low speed, and a "cool shot" button for cool air. I like this blowdryer, it's not too expensive, but isn't the cheapest, but here's where I am smart:
my first one broke after about a year. I simply went to Walmart, bought a new one, and then RETURNED my old one with my new receipt in the new box. I don't think that blow dryers should go back that quickly, so I don't even feel bad that I returned it.

The best blow dryer I ever had came from a yard sale. the people having the sale were beauticians, so my guess is to go to a beauty supply store to get what the proffesionals use. Be ready to put up some big bucks, They are going to cost a litle more, but worth it!

A CHI. They are the best, VERY powerful, so you have to keep using the cool air button, but they DO work like magic.
