S&M stands for Sadism and Masochism. Someone who is a sadist receives sexual gratification from inflicting someone pain, and a masochist receives pleasure from undergoing pain. It refers to a sexual practice during which men and women act out their fantasies of sexual domination and submission. It's an activity that results in sexual mutual gratification.
