I can understand your feelings. But I do think you should blame the Government and not the foreigners, they are just trying to make a living, like anybody else. Your Government sent you to war, they should take care of you in benefits. It is the least they could do for your hardship and sacrifice. Good luck and don't take your grief out on a stranger. Take care now

Your right!
And M -your WRONG. VERY WRONG I suggest you do some reading on it. Why not ask some disable Vets-how they have been affective. This was as wrong as your slum question. You know nothing here neither. So quit sprouting your foolishness.

I dealt with this many times in my profession. Yes our benefits are running dry. And foreigners do get extra points (it has a purpose) . It is a point system. But now because of a flood coming in using State Programs all Programs are affective. Each borrows from the the other. It affects your cost of living wage too. It is not an endless pot of gold.
I have seen the Vet Hospitals and State Programs are being hurt. I could talk to doomsday on different cases. And who gets more points. But some people if it were put out right in front of their nose would not want to see it. These caring people who could care less about those here being hurt and dying-aren't they kind ones.
The time is coming when that will stop. I hope it will get better. I will not hurt many to help a few who don't belong here. You are so right and should be mad.
Thanks for serving our country.

No I don't think you are wrong at all. You have every right to your opinion. But I would like to tell you something. You might not like it, but at least it's the truth.

I have a nephew, that has been here on a green card ( Work permit ).

Now, my nephew is not only a Mexican but he is not a United States citizen.

FURTHERMORE------I am very proud of my nephew. Because my nephew is a UNITED STATES MARINE. Of which, he is very proud. He has done a tour of duty in Iraq and guess what???

On this little green card to have permission to work here, he has reenlisted for three (3) more years in the UNITED STATES MARINES.

So you see not all foreigners are bad people. He is getting his citizenship. But can you tell me why on earth this government gave him the permission to be a MARINE and not be a citizen of these United States????

I have a lot of respect for you and those that fought along side of you. There are many that didn't make it home. There are many that were not accepted by American people when coming home. But my friend, I salute you for fighting for our country.

I just read something about people coming over here stealing everything. What did my nephew steal from anyone? NOTHING. He is proud to fight for you and this country and also willing to give his life. But the way some of you talk, he is better off dead than alive..GOD HELP US ALL!!!

I would like for you DAR to reread my answer. Is Almando your nephew or mine? First of all, I said he was not a citizen. Yes, Bush did sign papers to that fact. My nephew is working on his citizenship. But he is NOT as citizen as of yet. No matter what you or anyone else says, I am proud of MY nephew!!

You know what you can do with your know-it-all attitude???? I will not return to this question.

Thanks

An issue you should probably consider is that these undocumented workers come to this country and not steal our jobs, rather they do the jobs that we don't want to do, like picking fruit all day for a nickle, or working in a sweat shop make $100 dollar tennis shoes for a dime a day. The reality is that without them, our economy would collapse.

As a decorate, honorable veteran, I would suggest that you not buy into the propaganda that they served you all of those years.

In sociological terms, boot camp is considered an institutionalization of reprogramming for a reason (its esential design is much the same as prison, I might add). Stop, take a breath, and THINK!

It is such a broad issue, with far reaching reprocussions, that is cannot be simplified into black and white terms. If we do, we will only be further hurting ourselves as Americans.

Thank you and good night!

I have to question the validity of your question. One would think it's correct to say; "Honorable and Decorated US Veteran..."

I am not a veteran, but my father is, and my brother is. We all think it's wrong for illegals to get any benefits. We should take care of Americans first. Don't take it wrong, if they are injured, (the illegal,) fix 'em up then send 'em home. Detain and deport should be the order of the day. If they don't like the conditions where they live, it's up to them to change it.

It's not right for anyone, (Americans included,) to expect a free ride. This country was founded under the principle that anyone, with hard work, can make a good life in America,

Sir, no one has the right to inter illegally into another country.
That is a world wide law. Many countries will shoot first, others, it is jail, jails that make American Jails look like preschool play rooms!

The only rights that people breaking the law to enter into a country have are that country's law dealing with immigration.

No country admits persons convicted of a crime, fleeing from legal prosecution, with a police record, or are actively committing a crime.

America should throw all illegals out PERIOD.

They have no right to any law or services, set up for the people of that country.

Mendi ... you need to get accurate information before you tell someone they are wrong. I worked for The Department of Human Services for 13 year and I can tell you first hand the illegals receive Food Stamps the eldery and disabled do not. They get Medicaid for their children and we pay the hospital bill when an illegal gives birth. The elderly and disabled have to decide whether to buy food or their prescription drugs each month. The illegals can also receive cash assistance for their legal children because we don't count all of their income. I saw it happen too many times. So you are wrong.

I hope that you're angry at illegal immigrants, and not all immigrants. I'm angry at them too, because so many people have to wait a long time just to come to this country while OTHERS decide to skip ahead. If they're not here legally, they have no rights in this country. It makes my blood boil to hear them protesting for benefits and rights that are not entitled to them, waving their flag, and refusing to speak English. This is America! They should at least show some respect or gratefulness since we haven't kicked them out yet!

Illegal is illegal. Send them back and have them try again!

I'm not a vetern, but i'm DAMN MAD about these friggin foreigners sneaking over here and stealing everything!

No, my husband served too and he's very angry. He didn't fight for Mexico or any other country, he fought for the U.S and now has to watch as illegals flood the country unchecked and our government wimpers before Vicente Fox like dogs. It's sad. There's no pride anymore.
