I get my new puppy tomorrow, and so far I've bought her a collar and leash, a crate, a couple of toys, a food & water bowl, & puppy milk bones.

What else am I missing?

Feed her the same kind of food she is use to eating or she will get an upset stomach. But if she is on some kind of crummy dog food change her to a good quality puppy food, do it slowly over several days. Have her checked by a vet and make certain to get her shots on time. And the only thing you can't buy for the new puppy is love and patience, use them every day!

You might want to bring a rag/towel from the breeder with you home, so that your puppy can have a familiar smell around her. Put it in her crate. And most breeders will recommend you continue feeding the puppy the same food they have. Changing foods will only make the transition-period harder, and upset her stomach. Good luck! :o)

I think you pretty much have everything. Just some puppy food and a soft blanket or pillow for the dog's bed I think, but you've got that already, right? You're off to a good start.

Congratulations! I think you are pretty much set except for a soft plushy bed for the new kennel. That should do it until you get to know your pup more. If you don't have a kong, I would suggest getting one in the future. That will keep the puppy busy while you are working or in school

The BOok Ceasars Way By ceasar millian....(the dog wisperer) It will teach you how to be a pack leader before problems arise..... As much as you want to try to avoid to much love in the first couple of week base your relationship on diciplin, rules boundries and limitations then add tje love and attention after your dogs respects you as pack leader... get the book it will explain better why this is inportant.... and especially do not love on your dog while it is scared or excited..... this does not sooth them like you would think.... It just tells them it is ok to be scared.... excited......ect ect.... just let them adjust them love on them when they lay down and relax.

Good start. Something soft to put in the crate. Food, obviously.

You need Nature's Miracle spray. Your puppy will have potty accidents and it will help to get the smell out all the way.

A small carpet cleaner for cleaning up the "accidents" on the rug, sofa, etc.

I have one the the "Little Green Machines". Small, compact, works great.
