Your primary power wire will normally be run from your trunk or hatch area to the front of the passenger compartment (stashed under the carpet), and then into the engine bay through a hole drilled in the firewall, using a grommet to protect the wire from abrasion. A reputable stereo shop should be able to run the wire for about 20-30 bucks, plus the cost of the wire. Even if you are putting in relatively low-powered amps, run heavy gauge wire so that if you upgrade later on, you won't have to replace the wire.

I assume you've installed the subwoofers and amp in the trunk, if that's the case you need to do the following to do a professional looking job.
Remove the round peg that connects that cloth that lines the wall of the trunk that butts up against the back of the back seat (if your vehicle has one, if it has the foldable back seat, then it's not necessary). Then you want to run the wire through there alongside of the seat on the side of the car that the battery is on. Then you remove that plastic runner that goes along the side of the car on the floor and run the line there covering it by placing that strip back on there and screwing it back down.
Now you should have the wire in the floor board in front of the driver's seat. You'll need a drill to bore a hole in the firewall into the engine compartment, once you've done that run the wire through and fill around it with that expanding foam insulation.
I suggest at this point, you place an inline fuse, the store you purchased the speakers and amp from can tell you what amperage fuse you need. You do this by running the wire into one end, crimping it, then running a second piece of wire from the fuse to the battery.
Don't forget to ground your amp, if you don't you'll constantly be blowing both the inline fuse and the internal fuses in your amp. You can ground it by running the negative wire off of the power input of the amp to any exposed metal in the trunk.
That's it, if you follow those instructions, you should be good to go and it will look like you paid someone to do it.

I prefer a professional to do the job
but it could be done by yourself.....try going through the firewall by drilling a hole through it, and sealing the hole after you put the wire through the hole......and you might need an adapter for the stock car stereo, unless you have an aftermarket car stereo (just plug the two cords into the output behind the aftermarket stereo)
ground the amp, but use short wire though, near the amp, and find a good nut to ground it.
hooking up the speakers are easy.

Hey you gotta get a monster cable large guage wire so it doesn't over heat and run it from the amp through the door jams up under the dash there are some grommets there thet you will see others wires come through well poke your wire through one of those and run it up to the battery. When you get that all done we can talk wiring your subs so that you get better performance.

it is a piece of cake. You just need to pop the hood and look for weirs their should be a rubber on the wall towards the back of the engine and u run a weir into their. the weir should end up in the dash inside of the car. that is the + positive. For the - negative u can just look for a metal base with no current and connect it like(frame, body, floor panels, ex...) then the other weir goes to the radio it will say on the instructions of the radio. If it is a stock radio save the trouble and get it professional.

you need to run a 8 guage wire from the battery positive to the amp.
Then you can connect the amps black(ground) lead to the chassis.
Note: I though point farming was a TOS violation.

There is a hole in the firewall that all the wiring goes through for the rest of the car.... you might be able to go through there

I drive a 99 Cougar, and I didn't install my system, so I don't know if this will even help. All I know is that it runs through my drivers side right next to the door, and I think it runs up. IDK a lot, though, because whoever put it in hid the cord underneath this thingy. All I know is my system kicks like whoooa! Sorry!

pop your hood and behind the engine look for some rubber plugs that are in the firewall just pop one of them out, cut a small hole in it, run your wire through it then replace it....
