Yes, they are already getting treated for free. Why allow them for more free stuff if they let them leave and then come back for more.

When an illegal goes to a hospital to seek treatment, police use the opportunity to fully document them -- that is to say photograph them, fingerprint them and get their full names, home addresses, phone numbers and employment information. There is a problem with that. We give them free medical care (for now at least) and they are no longer "undocumented" workers.

I see no problem with that at all. As it stands now if I were to go into the emergency room to seek treatment after stubbing my toe, they would need to have full information on me and my insurance provider. So why should an Illegal alien recieve treatment quicker, easier and with fewer questions asked than would be required of me? While they may still recieve free or subsidised care, they would then be on the books, and would have to start paying taxes and the like. Then if they don't assimilate to that fact, it should be even easier to move them out of here.

Ok but then what would stop them from doing that to any other person, including yourself? How would you feel if you went to the hospital to seek medical attention and you were "documented"? Also, this may deter some people from actually going to the hospital in which case there will just be people dying in the streets

yeah if you want organized crime to prosper and for work places to be able to better be able to explot people. Illegals will go to illegal docotor. An the beat goes on. One crime leads to another. One violation leads to a human rights violation. Then we can have our ordinary citizens without insurance go to all these illegal doctors that have poped up too. Do you want your daughter getting fake birth control that contains who knows what from an illegal doctor? Or how about she gets raped by an illegal doctor seeking an abortion? If we deny care to illegals we will open up a market to illegal doctors and our citizens will go to them in times of despiration too think about it. They go for plastic surgery already for cheap care.
PS Since the ER is so busy with medical care and there is such a long wait in those public facilites how about 10 hours 17 hours etc. How about just adding that on to the medical duties. Yeah that is really smart. I think that is a really appropriate job of the medical community when they are trying not to get hurt by criminals and trying to deal with trama patients and sick kids and life threatening situations. Lets just add another $50.00 to the bill of every paying customer and medicatid patient so we can deal with immigration issues how about that? Sounds like a real priority or should we just keep the employees safe and deal with medical and crime issues? Do we really have the money and time to make the hospital an imigration center? Is imigration willing to set up a subcenter there? Are they willing to process bleeding americans and americans having seizures and determine we are real citizens? Is that really important or can we just be treated like humans in our own country? Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am really not sure when my mom cut off her toe in the home improvement accident she remembered her purse. She was in such pain. Would that have been a problem. She does have dark hair and olive skin. She is an american, but was anxious. We had a family member who fought in the american revolution and cannot even trace when we came here because we have been here so long, but what if her dark complection confused them?

Allowed? Sure. Hospitals can do anything they want, unless they are publicly funded, and the legislators enact measures to prohibit it. Required? No - not unless the Federal Government wants to station an Immigration Agent within the hospital, which is essentially what you are proposing. The money to pay for this newly legislated position comes from...
I'm waiting...
If the Feds can't police the border, it is unrealistic to expect the hospitals, schools, etc. to do it for them.

Since illegals (Get ready for this) come in all colors and nationalities and some speak English as well (or better) than any American, they would have to "document" everyone. I don't take my passport to the hospital, in a real emergency I doubt I'd even take my purse. So who knows if they are illegal?

Good Gosh...illegals show up in courtrooms, jails, go to work every day, and no one does a damn thing about it now!!! Why make another law to take care of the situation when the laws that are in place aren't used as it is?? C'mon, you are really someone from the Govt just trying to jumble things up some more aren't you?

Um, if they are doing it on our dime, yeah, I don't have any problem with it. If they are paying their own bill, well, a little bit squishier there.
I know what information I had to give when I went there, and they are not being asked anything different than I was. (Minus the fingerprint part anyway)
If they don't like it, screw them.

I think it'd be a really smart idea to fully empower state and local law enforcement to start assisting in deportation efforts nationwide. But, before any of that is going to amount to a hill of crap, the border fence with mexico needs to be finished.
