Can any dogs climb trees?

Cats can, but i dont think ive seen a dog do it.

Some dogs can! Pit bulls are especially good at climbing.

I have never seen a dog actually dig its nails into the bark and pull itself up. There nails don't extract like a cats. My dog used to jump into the tree and chase squirrels, but I don't think that qualifies as climbing in the way you are thinking it to be. Good luck with this question!!

Dogs can jump up and get on a low limb and climb from limb to limb. But they can't actually climb a tree like a cat. Their claws aren't the same.

I have seen some dogs climb into trees. I have also seen them fall out and get hurt...best not to teach your dog to do this.

My dog can run and jump 8 feet up the trunk of a tree. We say she can climb trees, but that's not really true.

yes, my mutt bull can climb a tree with a wide enought trunk, using his pwerful legs and speed to move himself up trees to the first few branches--very strong, agile dog and he's only 7 months old---and i beleive other breeds of dogs can do also

nicely no longer my dogs, yet my sister's does he climbs timber to get stick nicely greater like runs up them. he's a ridgeback circulate pit bull the breeds in him are contained in a similar type as yours so in line with possibility that's a breed trait?

Yeah many breeds can. I know Pit Bulls can for sure. Pit Bulls are very strong and are very agile.

my dog tried to. it was hilarious! he got bout an inch of the ground than he fell. he was chasing a squirrell
