Drink LOTS AND LOTS of water. It will flush out your system and keep you healthy. Plus its good for your skin and hair too. Order water instead of soda...someone can easily go through more than three glasses of soda in a restraunt. Plus water is free ;)
Go walking in the mornings or evenings whenever it is cool..if you are already kind of fit then go jogging or running instead. If you have a dog, take him. He'll love it.
Stop eating three hours before bed. You can't digest anything very well while you are sleeping and doing that alone will help you drop pounds.
Other than that do the obvious stuff....don't eat a bunch of junk food and try buying the "lowfat" options in the grocery store. Most of the time they taste just as good and sometimes they taste better!

10 pounds in three weeks is a stretch. That being said, try this:
Cut out sodas from your diet, even diet sodas. Replace them with unsweetened fruit juices and water. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Lay off the Mickey-Ds.
Start running or jogging 30 minutes a day, or use an elliptical machine if you have access to one. As you get stronger, add distance, speed, and resistance.
Begin a weight training program. Do many reps with lighter weights, which builds tone.
You may actually gain weight at first; however, you'll lose INCHES, which is what I imagine you're actually going for. You should try to lose no more than 2 pounds per week, as losing weight any faster is unhealthy.
Good luck.

You can't lose weight fast in a healthy way. You want to look better, not weigh less. Muscle weighs more than fat.
If you lower your calorie intake and burn off more calories than you ingest, you will get rid of fat while gaining muscle, hence you gain weight, but it is still the best way to go about looking better.
Also, do not lower your calorie intake to an unhealthy level. Eat until you are full and do not eat any more or less. Just make sure you eat veggies and protein for your muscles. Get calcium for your bones and magnesium so the calcium actually does something except build up.
And above all, do not get an eating disorder. You will be surprised at how badly you look with one.

Eat fish, salads, fruit, and nuts for the next three weeks. No soda, only water. Have minimal carbs. Make sure you excercise daily but keep well hydrated and make sure you eat 3 meals a day, but nothing heavy. Also you could try the "special K challenge". Substitute a meal or two a day with a bowl of their cereal and only snack on fruit and their cereal bars and supposedly you will loose 6 lbs in two weeks if you exercise daily on top of that.
If you drink soda regularly you can drop a LOT of weight by just not drinking it at all anymore. It's amazing how much weight that stuff puts on a person!

You are guareenteedd to lose 10 pounds on atkins diet, the phase 1 portion. I lost 10 pounds in one week, and in the course of one year with atkins diet and excercise, I lost 75 pounds.
In three weeks you will probably lose more than 10 pounds.

It's free, they give you a well balanced plan for reaching your goal and there are lots of resources that you can use. The most important one I think is to track what you do (eat, exercise).
They don't recommend you to lose more than 2 lbs per week, but you can always reduce your calorie intake a little bit more to reach your goal and still use the site. 1200 calories and 1/2 hr exercise every day should do it, but it's important to track, so that you'll know that you're actually doing it well.

I knew a guy that lost 37 pounds over night. Of course he had his leg amputated. I'm not sure you want to go in to anything that drastic.
Seriously, my sister lost a lot of weight pretty quick by cutting out carbs....just watch that you get enough fiber and take good vitimins. Good luck
