ok, im sophomore at highschool and having problems finding girls and homecomming is coming pretty soon. Ok im really smart (take all honors), i made varsity swimming my freshman year and set a new school record, i play the saxaphone, and im not ugly. I dont get it, shouldt i be at the top of the world? Also, im not one of those obnoxious guys, im actually pretty shy and quiet.

it could be b/c ur shy and queit - Im a sophmore in highschool too- it could just be that no one knows that you'd be interested in them so their not sure if they'd have a chance with you or that you'd be too fun to hang out with. Also, since you've accomplished so much it could make girls a little intimidated of you since they may think they can't live up to ur achievments? The one piece of advice i can give you- is dont change for anyone. Even though you're what- 15, 16?- you've still got time- I'm pretty well rounded and not too bad looking & I don't think I'll have a date for homecoming either-- well for one im not allowed and for another I'd rather not go out with half the jerks @ mai skewl- hope things work out for u :)

I hate to say it, but with all my advice, I am alot like you. Yes I am 25, successful, independent, fit, reliable, funny honest, and I know this...funny thing is as much as you hear and see so many ladies young and old ask for all the qualities you and I have, they always seem to gravitae to losers and rely so much on their friends (girlfriends that is) to make up their minds. I feel that women have fallen victim of the media. They depend on what they see to decide what they want or what modern society thinks what they should have. So much media condones bad behavior and infidelity. Even the nicest lady can be carrying a trident when your back is turned. But fear not, I only hope for guys like yourself and I will finally meet the down to earth gal that will be herself and treat you as you deserve. It is truley the waiting game. So go to homecoming with friends, enjoy yourself, don't get attached to the fickle and careless, please, date by all means, but be patient, and I am sure the right one will find herself talking to you someday.
