I agree. The entire headline, including the part about the exotic fish not being as lucky as the octopus is almost satirical.

Hey, I live about 15 miles from all this penguin tragedy! It's all over our news.
Yep, that other person is right, we don't see penquins everyday here in Texas. Armadillos and fireants yes. Free flowing octopus nope....
Not trying to lessen that the war is going on, or make frivolous of it. Just poor editing.

some of you guys don't get it....it's not quite so much about the animals that got killed....which, yes, was a tragedy....it has more to do with the "strangeness" in it....it's not every freakin day that there are penguins just kind of standing around next to the highway in Texas! It wouldn't have been so newsworthy if the accident had happened in an environment more natural to the animals....or if the animals had been more common to the area!

We live in a world where people cry about war's supposedly killing innocent children and at the same time support abortion. We live in a world where whales are saved, but we can pull the plug and let the elderly die. The article might have been funny and intentionally funny, but when the lives of animals are more valuable than that of humans, we live in a sad world.

Maybe the penguins tried to take over the truck. They had a motive or wmd's. That wasn't fish they were carrying. Why was the octopus uninjured? I smell something fishy!

Any life lost is a tragedy but you are right, there is definitely more important news stories to report on other than this.

amazing isn't it? people are more concerned about animals and not the people but the Bible did predict this.. "they will swallow a camel and strain at a gnat."
