I raise issues to get people to think about different perspectives. And to the extent that I've gotten lots of email from people saying that they disagree with me, but hadn't thought about it that way before, I'm succeeding at my goal.

I'm not trying to convince people I'm right. I'm trying to get people to stop, think, consider multiple perspectives, and then make an informed choice as to what to believe. And that effort is never wasted if it helps even one person broaden their horizons.

I don't see a difference among the people on yahoo answers, but I enjoy learning about different web sites and other peoples opions, I don't expect to change any ones mind on how they feel about a subject, but at times I feel that I am just spinning, that is why I left the immigration section for awhile, It's the same people spouting the same views, and nothing solved. I also enjoy a good laugh and some of the answers are funny.

Spinning wheels. It doesn't matter though. I have friends who have different political views and they are intelligent enough to have an articulate debate. Its amazing how some people can express themselves without words like "libtards". Once I leave work I don't give a second thought to the imbeciles I frequently encounter on this site.

This is just an open forum...but if you talk to your city council, and they talk to the state, etc etc etc., then they're getting the message to the powers-that-be...the big conversation will come in November, though. I think there's going to be a big difference in the polls in November, a lot of people are decidedly unhappy with the way this whole mess has been handled, and that'll be reflected in the vote.

Write your congressman, and give voice to your views. Write your local paper, too. Free speech, use it...

I think everyone is spinning their wheels. No matter what happens in this country, nothing that is said or talked about here is going to change that. We can complain all we want and it doesn't change a thing.

Never...never am I spinning my wheels...if it's clear there isn't an intelligent answer, it's oh so easy to ignore...and, as I've posted on a regular occasion, some of the un-intelligent, goofy answers serve an even better purpose by bringing laughter to folks... much needed commodity!!!

At least this site gives my an opportunity to excercise my active thinking and to let myself be confronted by opposing perspectives. By putting in writing what I believe in my guts to be fair and just I can be in a better position to see whether I do understand issues and if I'm in the position to engage others in dialogue and action.

As far as on the border, yes. As far as things in here, no. This is purely for diversion. I have met a lot of people on here, good and bad. I have enjoyed talking to some of them. This is a good question. Thank you.

Yeah, big difference. More and more states are cracking down on illegals, and the employers of illegals. Illegals go home!
