i want to know if there are any good insts in india which provide training in testing. since i'm from the humanities background, what i should do to make myself a good software tester.

you require basic maths and science till the hsc to qualify for an IT background job. also helping a similar degree is a good idea. software testing requires good knowledge in programming and hardware which is time consuming. try NIIT though I think that your degree is a hurdle....

There is a set of free online videos that you can use to train yourself in manual software testing. The videos are 4 hours long in all.
