Your puppy is growing teeth at the moment (as you've probably noticed) - that's why she chews the sofas regularly. :) She will try to chew whatever she bumps into in order to heal the pain. But in a couple of months it will pass, until then - hide your newest Prada shoes! ;)
Next, you shouldn't give her a bath so often, water is ok, but you may shampoo her only every 6 months. Regarding meals, I recommend Bosch - 3 medium-sized portions a day, no more, or she will get fatter that you'd like her to.
You should definitely enroll her in a dog training school, there you will learn how to say NO and make her understand that you mean it. And I'm sorry to say but you will have to get used to walking her 3-4 times a day. :) Good luck!

The dog thinks it is the Pack leader...... go getthe book Ceasars Way... By Ceasar Millan... Also start watching The dog wisperer on the national geographic channel....
Every dog want needs and will have a Packleader...... If the humans in its life do not fill the roll they think they are....
I cant really help with the potty training thing but if you take your leadership of the pack back over then potty training will follow..... you need to claim the furniture ,,..... do not let her on it without an invite.... better yet not at all for a while.... eye contact... and keep calm assertive energy.... mean it when you stare her down... sholder and head up.... never under estimate the power of the walkkk...... she is a young active pup and if you are not walking her at least 30 to 45 min a day where else is she supposed to get rid of that energy but to chew your couch......
Invest in a crate... that way you can crate train and feel safe that you dog is not destroying your house while you are away... you will also feel better knowing she cant get to anything that can hurt her.....make sure it fits her... just enought room to lay down and turn around iin....
when she jumps in your face when you are eating... onece again it is because you are giving to much love and not enoug rules boundries and limitations....she thinks she is the pack leader and decide when you eat... Please go buy the book and watch the show your case is extensive and should be addressed now not later when she is lunging at other dogs and people.... I promise you that if this goies un attended it will escalate to that....
Training is somting that comes after you establish that you are the pack leader...... it is a follow up not a cure..... Being a PACK LEADER will cure it.......

Well you have a larger breed dog so feeding her 6 times a day is too often. First you need to regualte her feeding to get her properly housebroken. Feed her 3 times daily, wait 15 minutes after her meals to take her out and stay out for @ 5 min each time. Always say the same thing to her outside and praise her when she does it. Say something like go potty or whatever you are compfortable with. Housebreaking can take a long time. Be persistent. While you are eating you shouldnt let her jump on you, give her a firm no and push her away, ignore this behavior completely except for the firm no's. As far as sleeping you may want to get her a crate/den. Dogs are den animals as well as pack animlas, she wants to be close to you but you can teach her to sleep in a crate at night until she is old enough to sleep away from you when left out. Good luck, dont give up the training, you have a very smart pup on your hands and with time and determination you can make her a wonderful and obedient companion.
oh yeah, when my girl was a pup i bathed her every fourth day with baby shampoo, just make sure she isnt scraching herself alot it could be a sign that whatever you are using is irritating her skin.

if your dog was younger i would suggest trying to train it to go to the bathroom in a cat box. Honestly, if you live on the third floor and no yard for your dog to run around, you really shouldn't have a dog....but maybe you take your dog to the park everyday? As far as her still being hungry after she eats, maybe shes not getting enough food, or possibly she may be the runt of the litter, they will eat for days on end if they have a never ending supply of food....there is no way to cure a dog of that if its the runt. She chews the sofa because she is extremly bored, she is teething too.....buy some chew toys and tell her she is a bad dog if you catch her chewing the sofa. If you don't want her sleeping in the bed, i say keep her out of the bedroom buy shutting the door. Washing your dog every 3 days! noooooo, don't do that, you are only supposed to give your dogs a bath once a month because anymore frequently and it will cause you dogs skin to become irritated, and its just plain uncomfortable for the dog. I know this cause i own 2 dogs. Feeding a dog six times a day isnt good either, that may be why she thinks she needs to eat your food too...I wouldnt feed her more than 3 times a day, and once she gets older, i would only feed her one to two times a day.

I am sure you are really frustrating her also. Labs are working dogs. They thrive on having a job and a purpose. Keeping her cooped up in an apt. must really suck for her. Take her for a walk when you would like for her to go potty. Recommendation: after her meal. BTW You are feeding her WAY too much. Labs are prone to obesity! Look on the back of her food bag. It will give you a daily consumption for the age and weight of your dog. If its says 6 cups daily. Then Choose Breakfast and Dinner 3 cups per sitting Or Breakfast lunch and dinner 2 cups per sitting.
Sounds like she is hyperactive, you NEED TO WALK HER DAILY. At least 45 minutes twice a day. If you can't handle that. You really should find her a family who can give her what she really needs. A tired puppy is a happy puppy, which makes a happy owner. Get her some exercise and some good chew toys. (my GSD like Pig hoofs and keeps him from chewing on my sofa or shoes) Take her to the park and teach her to catch frisbees. Be very active with her. You'll thank me later. As for her sleepingg in bed, I enjoy my dog sleepin at my feet. But since you don't like it, you have to Claim your bed. Be the pack leader. She is trying to take over, and you need to stay in control. No need to yell, just a stern No will work plus consistency. Take care and best wishes.

Potty training should start right away. It is easier to train then it is to re train. These potty training tips can be used for
any aged dog and should always be started from the beggining and advance only as fast as the dog or puppy allows you
to. If there is an accident, take two steps backwards and continue at a slower pace.
I highly reccomend crate training. This works with the dogs natural instinct not to want to soil her area or den. Crate
training isn't cruel, it's by far the oppisisite. Denning is natural for dogs and it gives a secure place. Many dogs continue to
use the crate thru out their lifes as a sleeping or resting area. It should be off limits to kids and toehrs and be a happy place.
For more on crate training see the above links.
Pooch will need to go out always after sleeping, playing, eating and before bedtime. Take pup out to the place you want
him to use. Give him about 5 minutes and stay with him. If she goes, praise, treat and have a quick playtime. If she doesn't
go it's straight back into the crate or tehtered to you by a leash.
The playtime after the potty time is very important. This teaches the pup that potty doesn't equal straight back into the
house. And the tether to you is also important, it helps you supervise the puppy while your in the house. It's much easier to
show the puppy how to be good, rather then get mad at the pup when bad.
Always ignore the accidents. They are going to happen. If you catch the accident just say nope, outside. and take
pooch outside. If you do not catch the pup in the act then just clean up the mess and make a note that pup needs to go
out sooner next time. Use something with an enzyme cleaner in it like Natures Miricle for clean ups. This also works on other
stains as well.
It's also important to take pup out about every 20 minutes until you get a feel for his schedule. Adjust accordiong to the
pup. As well as setting an alarm clock for the wee morning hours, say 2AM to take pup out. If there is an accident when you
wake up for this then you know to set the time sooner. Also if there is still an accident when you get up you will know
another wake up call is in order. Again, you can adjust these times according to how you pooch advances. Stay consistant
and soon you will have a good pooch slleping thru the night.

Okay, sounds like you have a out of control lab. Labs are really really energetic dogs, so I would suggest having a professional come to your home for personal training. That way the dog will still be in her environment and it will help you understand what you need to be doing to help her out. Do you crate train? I would definitely suggest that too. I would not bathe your dog every 3 days; that is too much. Once every 2 or 3 weeks depending on how dirty she gets. Normally when you have a puppy, you will leave their bowl out for them all day long so they can get as much food as they want, but with your situation I am unsure. Definitely consult a professional; it may cost a bit of moolah, but in the end it will all be worth it. Good luck!

First off you should feed your dog 2-3 times a day ,3 times a day for younger puppies you can swich to 2 times a day once she gets older. If you feed them consistently at the same time each day her bathroom breaks will be more predictable and consistent. Take her out as soon as she wakes up, after play sessions and after she eats . If she messes in the house do not scold her (it s your falt you did'nt take her out sooner)take her outside asap.Dogs should be bathed at the very least every month if bathed to often you wash away natural oils thst help the dogs coat. You can not pick and choose when ya want your dog on the furniture. Either shes aloud or she isn't . Just tell her off and put her down but be consistent. I

when she looks like sh'e about ot "go" wisk her outside & then when she does - PRAISE, praise, praise. I've never heard of a dog that will use the plumbing but you can teasch them to use potty pads or a dog litter system - same method only when she seem about to go wisk her over to the pee pad.
FOR the rest you could have a trainer in or you can go to a group class(usually cheaper) but you need someone who's right THER to show you how to comunicate what you want to your dog.
Feeding 2x daily is usually enough at 5 months (same amount for the DAY just in two meals) and while i suppose if you use mild soap it won't do any harm bathing every 3 days is a tad of overkill once a week is PLEANTY.

It always amazes me when people choose to get a dog when they are obviously completely unprepared for having one. Dogs are a HUGE responsibility. That cute puppy is cute- but do you really have the time, energy, money, or patience to properly train and care for it? Puppies don't come programmed.. it takes a LOT of work.
Now that you have jumped in head first, you need to take the responsibility of properly taking care of him -- for the rest of his life. That means.. you don't just dispose of him because you can't control him. Bad dogs happen because of bad owners.
It sounds like your dog has a lack of training, and a complete lack of respect for you. I would suggest reading the following two books: "The Dog Whisperer," and "Don't Shoot the Dog" to learn more about dog behavior and how you should modify your own behavior in order to change his.
You should also look into a local puppy training class, and I highly suggest crate training your dog ASAP, while he's still young. It will save you furniture and carpet while you aren't home. Just don't leave him in it all day!! I highly suggest you also look into some kind of a doggy day-care situation if you work all day. Those facilities allow dogs to get socialized with other humans and other dogs, and it keeps them out of trouble.
Good luck.
