I'm talking about a friend and not an associate. Even if years have passed. Would that person be fair game now?

no it wouldn't be fair game.. but the only way to know is to speak w/ur friend who dated the guy.. if she doesn't have a problem w/it then neither should u..

but me personally i think there r boundaries u shouldn't cross to ruin a friendship..

there r plenty of other guys out there.. how would u feel if she came to u w/that question...

As long as yur friend won't be after your blood. (That is, if you want to keep them as your friend. If you don't care, then just go for him.)
