Yes, because atheists are frequently subjected to ridicule and/or efforts to "save" them by well-meaning and not so well meaning folk. Atheists are, despite their low crime rate and divorce rate, one of the most mistrusted groups in America. Nor are they really unified. There are liberal and conservative atheists will all range of political opinions, so they are generally unable to provide the united front that religious folk are. An atheist risks the loss of their job, friends, and even family.

The biggest misunderstanding that religious folk have is that atheists have no morals because they do not believe in the divine. This is patently untrue. Most atheists have just as strong ethics as anyone else. They just don't believe in a big, scary sky fairy standing over their shoulder with a baseball bat marked "Hell" in order to make them behave.

All Atheist have an element of doubt. True Christians have full assurance of their faith. Thats why there have been millions of martyers. Why because the spirit of God dwells in them..Do you have more courage,,, you might now,, but not at the end of your life...If you really wanted to know the truth you would seek and find, but thats up to you. Love is real, Science is real, God is real.

Actually.....I have know 2 atheists in my life..........both were my friends although we were MILES aprat in beliefs

They both died of cancer and were crying out to God in the end

And another thing, when we first met, they bnoth cursed God;s name in vain, ( until we became friends, then they stopped out of respect for me......at least in my presense).Anyway......my point is..why would you curse someone you don't believe in?

I think there are no 100% completely atheistic people because of this experience

I think going against any grain is more courageous. We choose to argue against dogmatic beliefs that have been sustained for thousands of years. Rather than be obedient sheep we choose to carve our own path in the face of criticism.

Yes, I think so. It takes emotional fortitude to believe what the evidence tells you rather than simply what you want to believe, particularly when the conclusion that follows is that death is the permanent loss of self.

Yes, and stupid too,
Cause you have to have balls of stainless steel to see God everywhere and yet deny his existance
