FYI. for you people that are quick to judge, this is my daughter's puppy and she lives out of town, she is at the vet right now, but i though someone might shed some light. THIS IS NOT ABOUT HOW SMART THE HUMAN RACE IS, but thanks for your answer, we now know how considerate you are.

THANK YOU to those that truly tried to answer my question. Belle was taken to the vet and apparently she had an allergic reaction to something. Vet does not know what exactly.

I'll dido going to the vet. Black in color isn't normal and is most likely the result of something wrong.

Is the dog on any medications though? Some medicines can change the color of urine and stools for the period of time and shortly after being on them.

Okay...come on here. If your animal is peeing black, there is no way you should be on the internet trying to figure out what is wrong. You should be in the car, on the way to the vet!

If she ate something that is causing her to pee black then you should see it in her mouth, otherwise, it is most likely somthing internal and you really need to take her to a vet like yesterday.

do not ask us.... go directly to the vet..... you would go to the doctor the min, it happened to you why not the dog.... somthing like this could ultiamately kill your dog why would you risk getting awnsers from perfect stranger....

I just love these type of question.... show jsut how smart the human race really is....

Sounds like there's either something wrong with her kidneys or liver, or she just ate something that stains the pee. but take her to a vet
