just got home from an overseas vacation and my first greeting was by customs: this freak stared at my family 4 like an hr. and then goes all unabashedly " gd, i hate religios ppl. u have 2 many kids and you no what im not ashamed 2 say it, of all the ppl ive ever met, religios ppl are some of the worst ive ever met....im prejudiced.." i waslike, well sir im sorry to hear that, thanks for welcoming us back 2 the country...lol. was really wierd. my q is, are officers allowed 2 be blatantly prejudiced?

Being prejudiced is not against the law, but acting on that prejudice is. For example, if you were singled out because of his prejudice, then it is against the law, but if everyone is searched (or whatever) then no. You should have responded that you can't stand civil service types that couldn't handle real jobs. LOL

It sounds prejudicial to me. I know that the Government is and for good reason being more sensitive and "profiling" people- especially in airports and government buildings, etc.

I can relate to the commentary of this "official"- he should keep it to himself! If you have nothing good to say- say nothing!

Maybe, he was testing your faith by being antagonistic.
