Yes. 10,000 years from now. If we haven't discovered the secrets to near-immortality by then, we never will.

I have lived through those times and they are no different than these. I was a decadent, self indulgent, hedonist then and the opportunities abound today as then.
Thankfully, however, I found Jesus on this side of the '90s and I no longer have to live like death!
Read this passage, written approximately 2000 years ago. Sounds like today doesn't it?
Rom 1:24 Therefore God delivered them over in the cravings of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.
Rom 1:25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served something created instead of the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 This is why God delivered them over to degrading passions. For even their females exchanged natural sexual intercourse for what is unnatural.
Rom 1:27 The males in the same way also left natural sexual intercourse with females and were inflamed in their lust for one another. Males committed shameless acts with males and received in their own persons the appropriate penalty for their perversion.
Rom 1:28 And because they did not think it worthwhile to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong.
Rom 1:29 They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, disputes, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.
Rom 1:32 Although they know full well God's just sentence--that those who practice such things deserve to die--they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.
Ecc 1:8 All things are wearisome; man is unable to speak. The eye is not satisfied by seeing or the ear filled with hearing.
Ecc 1:9 What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun.
Ecc 1:10 Can one say about anything, "Look, this is new"? It has already existed in the ages before us.

Yes, but we are here for a reason. I wish I lived in the time of a true and holy pope, not an anti-pope like we have today. I would have loved to live during St. Gregory the Great's reign in medieval times, but I know I am here today for a reason.
By the way, the 60s and 70s were a HORRIBLE time on this earth. But then, I guess they were no worse then they are today... sigh...

I'd rather live in a future time period. Think of the inventions that have taken place since our grandparent's birth. If we progress that fast in the future, who knows what we could experience and enjoy on this earth. I think fast forwarding to 100 or 200 years from now would be great.

I often read that previous generations said the same thing we do about how times are getting worse, people are reverting to more crime and greed, and kids are out of control. My grandfather said these same things about the world when he was young. He says that his parents thought that the world was going crazy back then, kids had no respect, etc. etc. I think that the 50's were a wonderful time because of TV shows like, "Leave it to Beave" and "Father knows Best" , but if you transport yourself back in time, I think you would find the same problems, just different names.

Nope, you're no longer on my own. I used to think of that I ought to have lived in a different term continuously. the only concern that I relatively have with it now's that, sure, we would be without all of this technological advancements and ought to truly place self assurance in our 2 legs to get us places, yet then additionally there is distinctive cultural and social ameliorations. yet basing it strictly off of no information superhighway, cellular telephones/texts, and Siri, the Renaissance/Victorian era could be astonishing!

For years I have wanted to live in the 50's; it was a better time for raising children and keeping your marriage together. However, God has not granted my wish!

i would go further back than that. like the 1700's or 1800's life was simpler back then u worked harder but that never hurt anyone. they didn't fuss over money as much. they didn't depend on some one else to do things for them or depend on tech. for entertainment and problem solving.
