Don't forget music! That stimulates the brain the most and when combined with rhymes and dance is best for training the mind to think and remember. Try "Wee Sing" tapes. They ususally come with books that go with the songs and include suggestions for movements and dances. My daughter listened to those tapes in the car from infancy and mow at age five can still recognize and repeat those when the rest of her class is introduced to them for the first time.
